"I forgive you"

Those are some precious little words...especially coming from a sweet little 2 1/2 year old. She's being a little difficult tonight about going to bed (imagine that) and she keeps yelling "I'm sorry" and right away "I forgive you".

She can be so frustrating but at the same time so adorable! How can you be upset at this face?

I recently read the book The Shack and could really understand how God feels about us for the first time. The book illustrated how God truly looks at us like his children. We mess up and God just keeps on loving us. I know we must frustrate Him sometimes by the choices that we make, just as my girls frustrate me, but that will never change the love I feel for them. I loved that the book showed our father/child relationship so well.

I am interested in the book...I'll read it. I agree....how could anyone not love this child! Ed and I have talked about the funny things she did and said this whole week from the b'day weekend. Infact, we just smile sometimes, and we know what each other is thinking...the girls just make us happy! One day you will be wishing for those days when they are at home in their own beds (even if it's late!) Love you Jenn.

that story cracks me up....I had to explain to Jackson that when I get mad at him it isn't his time to say "I forgive you" but he still won because then he said "well then you say it to me mommy"...as long as he doesn't mind if I grit my teeth while I do it huh! haha
