Today is Lamar's 29th birthday! Wow ~ He's getting old. :)
This morning Landrie helped me cook a big breakfast with blueberry muffins, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs and OJ. She was a great help until Go Diego Go came on...he's such a distraction.
Landrie is in a wedding this weekend, so she is stealing Lamar's birthday a little bit. We have the rehearsal tonight and the wedding tomorrow night, so our real birthday celebration will be on Sunday!
Happy Birthday Daddy! We love you!!

Happy Birthday to Lamar! I am assuming that you read Jennifer's blog or at least she will show this post to you! I have been thinking about you today and remembering 29 years ago when your Mom went into labor. I was 12 years old and I had spent the night and I remember her waking me up saying that it was time to go to the hospital! Your Dad was at work and I was a nervous wreck until he got home! That was a great day for our family when you came into it! Hope your day today is wonderful...I can't believe that you are 29, married to sweet Jennifer and have two beautiful girls. Not because it surprises me, just because that makes me really OLD! Love to you all and Happy Birthday!

I do remember waking Dee Anne. I wasn't sure what she was going to do, but I knew she would keep me calm until your dad came home. He was working the graveyard shift at Central Power and Light. I was also nervous as I had been to the hospital once before and they sent me home. This time I wasn't leaving!!! It was a long night because you were breach and a big boy!! Finally, the Dr. said the next morning, we were going to deliver you by C-section and sure enough you were born at 1:38 pm, July 13, 1978 at Valley Baptist Hospital, Harlingen, Texas.
We love you and wish we could be with you, MOM and DAD
